Jerry Uelsmann
Hey everybody this is a photomontage that jerry uelsmann made in 1961 called the philistines eye! I really like his work because he does photo manipulation in his very own darkroom. This is one of my favourite pieces of work by him because this photo has a meaning of lack of privacy or always being watched, at this age i think as teens from 14-18 is a really unprivate time of my life and i always feel that somebody is over my shoulder watching my every move.

surrealism project
Digital surrealism project
“How do I create a photographic art piece, in the
surrealist style, that has a meaningful message?”
My concept I tried to get was a uncomfortable feeling.
First off at this stage of our teenager life I always feel watched. I feel watched even when im in my private place like my bedroom. So for that reason I chose a person laying down in a bed sleeping with a hockey rink as the background for my digital
surrealism project. I did this because I am a huge hockey fan, and while playing my favourite sport hockey I always feel watched, I feel watched by the spectators in the stands, my very own parents and your coaches. So then I decided to add eyes to show the spectators in the stands to show the whole fact about being watched and uncomfortable
and put this into my photomontage. Well now im going to move onto the challenges I had with this project. First off I had a hard time cutting out the bed. So I tried the magnetic
lasso, and that didn’t turn out the way I wanted to so I tried the mask. I found the mask a lot easier but I still had problems making a perfect cutting job so I kept on going and finished it. Now im going to move on the to the good things did with this photomontage. Well I really thought I did a good job at taking the pictures and putting them all the images together creating
this final product. I also like the way I cut out the eyes with the mask and I applied the eyes to the finished piece. Lastly what I learned with this project. Well I learned how to cut out organic images and geometric images with the mask and magnetic lasso tools. I also learned how to use the clone stamp.

stop motion
Hi everybody i found this very cool stop motion animation video i like it because it is a diffrent style of stop motion animation that i would of never thought of! Well i really like the way the shots all flow together so it actually looks like a video or movie instead of a stop motion animation. the way the perosn made this stop motion film was very interesting because it took a 11 months and 3000 shots to produce this piece film. This video had a good perspective of the angles of shots so everytime the person wanted to show the next slide it was noticeable and always focused on the specific part the person wanted to show. The lighting was pretty good but there was some parts that were darka nd you wouldnt be bale to notice a a shot or two. Well i found this video interesting i hope all of you guys do to.

Hey everyone this is my outside chess piece photo. The advantages of this photo was that i got to get the whole picture of my chess piece, then i didn't have problems with shinny parts or darker and lighter parts, because there was no light reflecting of my picture. The value in this picture goes dark from the left and then gets lighter through out the right of the chess piece. The line i used is straight hard bold lines i made my back ground feel like it was a tunnel because it starts very dark then gradually gets lighter. I do think this photo has movement because of the tunnel going into the focal point of my chess piece.
Hey everybody this is my chess piece picture on the copy stand this didn't turn out that well because where all of the dark spots are its very glossy and shinny. It became out like this because the shinny part reflected back up into the camera and it became way too glossy and doesn't look that good. The only advantage of the copy stand is that you can get the whole picture and it is very straight.
Hey everybody this is my chess piece picture with the scanner i didn't find this way that great at all since it did not get the top of the picture which is not a very effective way to get a picture of my chess piece but you can get most of the picture instead of the top you can not get. So i don't think this is a very effective way.

This is a picture i took and it is depth of field, it is depth of field because the foreground is blurry and then you see the bright yellow tree in the middle of this picture. This picture does also have dominance becasue everything in the picture is either the same colour or not very vibrant, but the bright yellow in the tree shows dominance over the whole photograph.

My photo is awesome because I used the rule of thirds pattern with the water tower in the top left, and my friend in the middle third in the right. I also have a little bit of leading lines from the left of the wall lead to my friend in a way. I also have kissing edges with the top left of the wall kissing the top right of the water tower. I made the mood of this picture a bit sad because it is a little bit dark. To get the water tower in the top left i moved back and pushed my self against the fence to get the water tower in this picture. I find this picture visually interesting because you see the water tower in the top left and then your eyes are drawn to the wall following the the graffiti then followed to http://backwardsstudios.blogspot.ca/.

This
painting by Frank Routledge looks quite realistic because of the use of
colours, also how the colours
blend in the whole painting. So that really ties this painting together.
This painting also looks very colourful , the colours are in the right place.
The hockey players hockey
equipment has lots of detail especially his face expression and everything
around him. I think this painting has expression because the hockey player is
jumping the bench ready to go on his shift. Also his face has lots of
expression because the hockey player looks quite confused and not ready to go
on. The artist was trying to say that this hockey player was confused that he
was coming out of the penalty box. I find this painting pretty neat looking,
colourful and I especially love this panting because I am a huge hockey fan.
Formalism This painting has lots of vertical lines that are colourful and strong to the eye. This painting also has a positive space with the background full of colour with no white in the background. This painting has variety with lots of different shades of these colours. This painting has movement from light colours to darker shades from right to left .

Washington Capitals NHL Team logo
I find this logo organic because of the use of rounded edges. But it does does have vertical lines that hard strong and built which makes this logo strong and takes pride. This logo also does have colour because the use of red and blue. I also this logo is very readable becasue of the large letters in "capitals". it does contain some gradation from small letters in "washington to larger and red letters in "capitals". Also about the colour red means angry and like ready to battle with no regret but wanting to win.

Nike logo
I think this Nike logo is very organic because of the rounded end of the logo. Its a simple logo but expressess lots of feeelings. Such as speedy, energetic and many more.it is avery gradual logo going from small to large.I think this designer wwas trying to bring the feeling of speedy and very pumped up to do something, i feel this way because it starts off small but finishes off strong. So i think the designer was feeling the same or trying to do the same thing.I do think this targets mostly kid to teens, but still targets all different ages and suits all people.
This logo is an abstract logo.

Subway Logo
This logo is a typographic logo.It has a few shapes such as the little triangles at the start of the 'SUBWAY' and at the end of 'SUBWAY', this logo is all bolded but still has a quite calm feeling. This logo colour goes from white to yellow which makes it calm but still makes this logo have variety, because the mixture of colours and the way it is showed with happy but still takes pride and looks strong because of the bolded writing.I think the designer was thinking for a simple coloured logo with the colours white to yellow. Also the designer was designing it to make it eligeable to the reader with big the big bolded writing, and also it was made to catch the eye because yellow is a colour that makes people hungry. This is made for all audiences because it is a fast food restaurant that attracts all ages.
