The trailer I decided to cut was Get Hard. I chose Get Hard because I watched this movie summer 2015 and it gave myself a good laugh, it is a comedy with 2 pretty skilled actors. Will Ferrel and Kevin hart, brief overview of the movie was Will Ferrel was sentenced to prison because of "money fraud", He got Kevin Hart to help him survive his 10 year sentence at San Quieten prison so the whole movie is about Will Ferrel trying to get protection from Kevin Hart so he can be ready for prison. I decided to change this into a thriller, I used clips from the actual movie rather then the trailer, I watched the whole movie and cut scenes from the movie to create a thrilling trailer. The music I chose was the Dead Silence theme song, its a suspenseful song that I think ties in really well with the thriller genre for my mash up. I chose my pace to be slow but fast at the same time, throughout the film the music is slow and tinkering but some scenes are faster then others to create a thrilling vibe throughout this mash up. As for cutting, I chose scenes in the movie that could have potential thrilling aspects and then mashed up scene for scene to create suspense, First off I grabbed the Get hard ending of the movie, I chose to start my trailer with that because of the "bang"already starting off with a thrilling experience, Next I went with Kevin hart bringing his daughter to her prison like school showing how she goes to a really run down school and that she is being scanned before she walks in as a grade 6 girl is threatening. Next scene I included was when Will Ferrel gets back to his car after a car wash done by Kevin Hart, Kevin hart then bangs on his window just to give back his keys and Will Ferrel gets drastically startled and starts screaming. Next scene was when Kevin Harts day one training from the original movie he shows how aware Will Ferrel must be in prison by always watching his guard so with that clip I tried to show a thrilling scene of just opening a door and not being aware of what will happen next. Lastly the scene I chose was Will Ferrels boiled up anger from everything that has happened throughout the film he takes all his anger out in the prison riot simulation ending off with one of his made shivs to be stuck in his head.

Basquiat Artist Statement
My Basquiat piece is perspective, I chose perspective because within my work you clench the perspective of racism. In my work to show racism in this world I chose the Boston Bruins clash to the Washington Capitals NHL player Joel Ward, a former NHL'er for the capitals scored the game winning goal back in 2010 against the Bruins, That goal knocked the Bruins out, Joel Ward the happiest player till the next morning, On twitter Boston fans ripping him apart calling him a "n****r" and many many more racial slurs that have been affecting Ward for many years playing hockey and always dealing with constant jabs, as a teenager Joel Ward was told to play basketball. His mother has been used to this stuff and has spoke to him and makes sure it has never got to him and that he should persue his hockey career then he ended up making the NHL. What I did to create this piece was get the image of the Washington Capitals celebrating around him against the glass with the Boston Bruins fans in the stands, I chose the "NHL" font and the text coloured in as the Boston Bruins yellow with racial slurs quoted in the stands showing the disgusting Bruins comments and there Pissed off/ broken hearted emotions.

1) Our group worked together throughout this project, we all assigned each other parts that we were each in charge of and slowly day by day we would meet and fine tune are parts together as a group then work and back at it daily.
2) The process we went through was to give people a reason to "power off to play" and why they should participate, so how we did that was to tie in many reasons why someone should "power off" there phone was that there still is life beyond a cell phone screen and that you have to work to see how there is. So my process throughout the project was to create the Decal to place on the back of your mobile phone to tally the hours, I was also in charge of a small promotional poster directing people to sign up online, Also in charge of the Facebook page to promote the event and finally I was incharge of the after event of the whole process while everyone collected their hours they can be redeemed at any BELL location for anything BELL related or for a free soccer match.
3) The design solutions we went through were how to create attractive bright colours to make the posters and tie in the right to play logo and BELL logo. Many prizes are involved to get people to participate first off if they sign up they get the experience of living without a phone for a period of time, they get bragging rights for supporting a great cause and they get the sense of accomplishment of participating in a great causes as a reward by collecting hours and redeeming them they can enjoy a free soccer match within the usage of the hours collected or towards any discounts on BELL products. All of these ideas as a group we collected contributed positively towards the assignment and made the presentation a great success.
4) am very satisfied with are groups work during the whole process, we did a excellent job within the whole project coming up with ideas, getting it done as a team and presentating a great project to Humber the students and Mr.Bingham, what I would change is are organization within explaining are whole process in a shorter amount of time and straight throughout, other then that i enjoyed the whole process.

Logo Analysis
The NHL team Washington Capitals logo explains its self within in the logo, you don't have to know anything about the capitals but by seeing the colour scheme,3 stars, and the "L" acting as a stick replacing the L it definitely is very remember able and if you see it once you'll never forget what the content of the logo actually holds and what kind of team the capitals actually are.
The Twitter logo explains its self within the logo because, you only have to see it once and the logo its self explains what twitter actually is and what birds sound like so it is very hand to hand with the a blue bird that shows what 'tweets" are and birds tweet on a daily bases so it just a simple logo that works out perfectly.

Video self portrait
The main reasons why i chose the clips i did was because these are things I enjoy to do almost everyday. So some technical aspects i had were, to find the right song that was a fast paced and dubstep song that was non copy right. I didn't wanna go through the difficulty of asking a artist for there work and not ending up getting a response or a answer in time so i just stuck with a non copy right song for my project. Also some what of another challenge I had was grabbing the highlights from each of my videos by cutting what wasn't needed,by keeping the right footage that i would want to include into my culminating. A symbol of my project was the "MY STORY" font, it was the NHL font from Dafonts.com and i am a hockey player so i thought it worked out to my advantage.
I used a mixture of video and photos, I did this because it was a good variety, My photos were slightly edited by editing apps on my cell phone and on photoshop. I chose the photos I did because they all tied up together into this project. The photos were slightly taken as a close up and I tried to match them up properly with the music and my videos as-well. The reason why I added the airsoft, hockey, lacrosse and lastly the xbox video was because I enjoy all of these sports and activities on a daily basis and am very competitive in everything I do. I chose the song "Tobu Life" because it was a dubstep song that is fast with no words and in sports or videogames I like to be fast and aggressive in my everyday life especially when I'm competing against other people.

kinetic typography
My kinetic typography is titled Roll call, because the choice of my song was roll call by logic. I used adobe after affects to create this final project. the content of my work was supposed to be fast paced and for the text to be shown as fast as the song and the lyrics to match the tempo. What i liked about my final project was that it was that i timed it really well as it was such a fast paced song which created a challenge for my self to complete with a good feeling of accomplishment. I would change how the text transitioned also i would change the sizes of the font from word to word and give them more expression while being fast paced. My design choices were that i knew it was a very fast paced song so i had to make it simple but look good so i just made all the words transition as fast as possible and made sure every lyric matched with every word i added so it looked clean. The challenges i overcame were making sure every word matched with the lyric in the song and to make all the text the exact same was a challenge and i didn't really overcome that issue and thats why i got the mark i got so , I was satisfied with the transition and basically it tying up smoothly throughout the video but i know a few touchups are needed and i need to improve many things for upcoming projects.

OCAD
Our CyberARTS year 2 went to OCAD for our school trip, the three exhibits i was most interested in was photography, sculpturing and graphic design. I only found one sculpture that i really enjoyed because it was made with earth materials and man made materials. I think its creative and different then everything else i saw.. Artists name was not provided.

illustrator drawing
I chose the file format "PNG" because it puts through the best quality of all of the other formats, also PNG pops the colour out with it looking the most realistic as possible.
I created this illustrator drawing starting from the outline working my way into the screen and button, I tried to take a minimal amount of points as possible because all i really had to do was put a point down press on the next point and curve each corner and after that it was straight forward with easier straighter lines to deal with.
my steps to complete the vector drawing-
1) find a image that is not very hard to outline
2)open it into illustrator
3)pick the pen tool and start tracing from the outside in
4) when i was satisfied id save it to a png and place in drop off
A few challenges i overcame was getting used to the pen tool because it is a very difficult tool to use when you aren't very used to it but at the same you want it to be perfect was really hard, i overcame my challenge with just keep on going without stopping and or being satisfied.
5) I am pleased with my final result, I think i did a decent job.

Stop Motion
Our Stop-motion Animation was the story of two graffiti
artist and one friend. One day they went to do graffiti on the train tracks.
After finishing their graffiti art they step back to take a look at their work
when one of them steps in to the path of a on coming train. The other graffiti
artist is devastated at is friend lying with no legs, as they start to lose
hope a super hero comes in to save the day taking the hurt friend to the
hospital.
We use sad music to create a sad feeling in the viewer. We think
the music worked really well with the video. It added an emotion to the animation instead of it just
being some random song.

Jerry Uelsmann
Hey everybody this is a photomontage that jerry uelsmann made in 1961 called the philistines eye! I really like his work because he does photo manipulation in his very own darkroom. This is one of my favourite pieces of work by him because this photo has a meaning of lack of privacy or always being watched, at this age i think as teens from 14-18 is a really unprivate time of my life and i always feel that somebody is over my shoulder watching my every move.

surrealism project
Digital surrealism project
“How do I create a photographic art piece, in the
surrealist style, that has a meaningful message?”
My concept I tried to get was a uncomfortable feeling.
First off at this stage of our teenager life I always feel watched. I feel watched even when im in my private place like my bedroom. So for that reason I chose a person laying down in a bed sleeping with a hockey rink as the background for my digital
surrealism project. I did this because I am a huge hockey fan, and while playing my favourite sport hockey I always feel watched, I feel watched by the spectators in the stands, my very own parents and your coaches. So then I decided to add eyes to show the spectators in the stands to show the whole fact about being watched and uncomfortable
and put this into my photomontage. Well now im going to move onto the challenges I had with this project. First off I had a hard time cutting out the bed. So I tried the magnetic
lasso, and that didn’t turn out the way I wanted to so I tried the mask. I found the mask a lot easier but I still had problems making a perfect cutting job so I kept on going and finished it. Now im going to move on the to the good things did with this photomontage. Well I really thought I did a good job at taking the pictures and putting them all the images together creating
this final product. I also like the way I cut out the eyes with the mask and I applied the eyes to the finished piece. Lastly what I learned with this project. Well I learned how to cut out organic images and geometric images with the mask and magnetic lasso tools. I also learned how to use the clone stamp.

stop motion
Hi everybody i found this very cool stop motion animation video i like it because it is a diffrent style of stop motion animation that i would of never thought of! Well i really like the way the shots all flow together so it actually looks like a video or movie instead of a stop motion animation. the way the perosn made this stop motion film was very interesting because it took a 11 months and 3000 shots to produce this piece film. This video had a good perspective of the angles of shots so everytime the person wanted to show the next slide it was noticeable and always focused on the specific part the person wanted to show. The lighting was pretty good but there was some parts that were darka nd you wouldnt be bale to notice a a shot or two. Well i found this video interesting i hope all of you guys do to.

Hey everyone this is my outside chess piece photo. The advantages of this photo was that i got to get the whole picture of my chess piece, then i didn't have problems with shinny parts or darker and lighter parts, because there was no light reflecting of my picture. The value in this picture goes dark from the left and then gets lighter through out the right of the chess piece. The line i used is straight hard bold lines i made my back ground feel like it was a tunnel because it starts very dark then gradually gets lighter. I do think this photo has movement because of the tunnel going into the focal point of my chess piece.
Hey everybody this is my chess piece picture on the copy stand this didn't turn out that well because where all of the dark spots are its very glossy and shinny. It became out like this because the shinny part reflected back up into the camera and it became way too glossy and doesn't look that good. The only advantage of the copy stand is that you can get the whole picture and it is very straight.
Hey everybody this is my chess piece picture with the scanner i didn't find this way that great at all since it did not get the top of the picture which is not a very effective way to get a picture of my chess piece but you can get most of the picture instead of the top you can not get. So i don't think this is a very effective way.
